The now 77-year-old Tereza receives a governmental order one day: She is to give up her previous life in a small industrial town in the middle of the Amazon region and move to a retirement colony. But Tereza is not willing to accept that. Instead of submitting to this externally imposed fate, she embarks on a journey through the rivers and tributaries of the Amazon. Driven by the desire to fulfill one last dream in her life before her freedom is permanently restricted, she embarks on a moving journey towards self-determination and self-fulfillment.
