Event information

Visit the smallest dairy farm in Itter with the Tyrolean grey cattle, an endangered Tyrolean cattle breed. Learn from part-time farmer Stefan (mountain rescuer, former search and avalanche dog handler and member of the avalanche commission) all about the TRADITION of milk processing, alpine farming and agriculture as well as the annual cattle drive and the MODERN: about the Hohe Salve ski area, snowmaking, piste preparation, avalanche blasting, piste rescue by the mountain rescue service and emergency helicopter. Afterwards, you will cook the traditional “Rahmmuas” together with farmer Stefan for tasting and play a few pieces on the Styrian harmonica.
