Maypole Festival of the Oberndorf Rural Youth
On this hike, we will learn a lot about rural life from the past.
While today mostly livestock farming with dairy production is practiced, the basin of St. Johann was once the granary of the Tyrolean Unterland.
We will see stately farmhouses that contain many practical details due to their compact construction.
The bell towers on the roof ridge are a typical characteristic of the Tyrolean Unterland, and they also had a special purpose in the past.
Good footwear and basic fitness are required.
The tour is conducted only in German!
