Grief is not an illness, but a painful journey into a new life without the deceased. Therefore, grief does not need to be overcome, but is allowed and even supposed to be lived. "Grieving is the solution, not the problem," says grief guide Chris Paul, encouraging mourners to experience their feelings and not to suppress them. The Grief Café is an open offer for mourners who wish to meet and share with other mourners, giving their own grief space and time. Because "together, one is indeed a little less alone."
