Isabell's life is turned upside down when she realizes that her elderly parents can no longer manage on their own. As she desperately searches for caregivers, she shuttles between Berlin and her parents' weekend house, which was once built by her father in a modernist style.
In this tense situation, Isabell repeatedly encounters the enigmatic Anja, a single mother who is grappling with her own challenges. As Anja and her young daughter Greta increasingly enter Isabell's life, an unexpected bond forms between the two women. At the same time, Isabell begins to doubt the life she had previously considered safe and familiar. Her marriage to Philippe shows the first cracks, and the feeling of losing control over her life grows stronger.
