Under the title Upbeat Explosion Music Culture St. Johann, in cooperation with Homebase, is hosting a day of Ska / Rocksteady / Punk in St. Johann i.T.

We start at 4:30 PM at Homebase with Rocksteady Café & Lips´n´Laces. Free entry!
The evening continues at 8:00 PM in the Alte Gerberei with Arpioni & DJ Count Ferdi.

Arpioni

Arpioni is an Italian band from Bergamo that has been active since 1990 and is one of the best-known groups in the Italian alternative scene. Their music combines danceable Ska with catchy melodies and socially engaged lyrics. The band is renowned for their energetic live performances and their support of social initiatives. Arpioni has released several albums and collaborated with international artists such as Laurel Aitken and Tonino Carotone.

Music genre: Ska – a lively, joyful, brass-driven music style with Jamaican roots, which Arpioni interprets with Italian flair.

DJ Count Ferdi

The Italian drummer, founder of Casino Royale as well as co-founder and long-time member of The Bluebeaters and The Uppertones presents a vinyl DJ set with handpicked tunes from the Caribb Roots series – an exhilarating mix of Rocksteady, Jamaican Boogie, and Ska.
