Panoramic hike on the sunny side of the Hohe Salve

Even in winter, hiking is a delight for all the senses. The snow muffles the sounds, and the white blanket gives the surroundings a fairytale atmosphere. With the Salvenbahn Hopfgarten, you go up to the middle station. From there, the tour starts along a quiet, idyllic hiking trail – partly through the snowy forest, partly open with a breathtaking view of the Kitzbüheler Alps. You can either head to the summit of the Kleine Salve and return to Hopfgarten with the Salvistabahn Itter and the ski bus or visit the Alpengasthof Rigi located in the ski area and take the chairlift back to the starting point.

Meeting point: Info office Hopfgarten, Brixentalerstraße 41, 6361 Hopfgarten
Registration: by the day before, 4:00 PM online or at the information offices of the Hohe Salve region
Equipment: sturdy winter shoes, winter clothing, hiking poles are advantageous
Costs with Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: free of charge (lift ticket for up and down is at your own expense)
Costs without Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: € 32.00 per person (lift ticket for up and down is at your own expense)
Duration: about 2 hours
