With his brand new release “Everybody Else’s Life Too ” (on the renowned label Corbett vs. Dempsey), Josh Berman once again surprises us with a fireworks display of captivating jazz. Berman belongs to the most active players in the Chicago avant-garde jazz scene. His unparalleled playing on the cornet fascinates not only his audience; a good number of Chicago jazz heroes have already played with him. In this trio, his long-time companion Jason Roebke on double bass is back in the mix, and the master drummer Chris Corsano—who is active in nearly all areas of experimental music—completes Berman's dynamic trio.
