The butcher's house is a farmhouse from the early 17th century: the ground floor is original, while the 1st floor was burned down in the village fire of 1809 but was rebuilt in the same year (year marked on the roof ridge).
From 1678 to 1825, the "butcher's rights" were associated with the house, hence the courtyard name "butcher's house".
The kitchen is furnished with typical rural furnishings from the early 20th century, and the Unterinntal farmer's parlor features a surrounding wooden bench, chicken perch, tiled stove, and wall cabinets. A peculiar feature is the bricked-in window lintels.
For the exhibition, part of the former stable, now called "cow stable," has been adapted in the ground floor. Here, various work and holiday traditional costumes are also displayed in two showcases.
Focus areas: Rupert Wintersteller Room (freedom fighter from Kirchdorf), collection of votive panels, Balthasar Waltl exhibition (academic painter from Kirchdorf), Austrian uniforms, geology of Kirchdorf, excavation items from Erpfenstein Castle, hunting exhibition, agricultural tools, and beekeeping.
