Practice lifts

Playfully taking your first swings in the snow and then using the magic carpets or button lifts for a comfortable ride back up. On the nursery slopes in PillerseeTal, children have the opportunity to try their hands at all things snow and skiing. The practice lifts in Fieberbrunn, Waidring and on Buchensteinwand offer special practice areas, on which first-time skiers will feel right at home. Concerned parents can easily view the goings-on on the nursery slopes, which are also easy to get to. The ski schools in PillerseeTal also offer practice lessons for children and adults. And they don’t lack in fun, either!

Fieberbrunn offers its holiday guests not one practice lift, but two. Rights by the valley station of the cable car Streuböden the Obingleiter is waiting for first-time skiers. A button lift makes for an easy trip uphill and the way back down into the valley is over flat meadows. For all advanced schussboomers, a somewhat steeper slope is also waiting to be negotiated. The second nursery slope is located at the mid-station Streuböden. Here, too, a button lift provides easy transportation uphill. On the downhill run, a mogul training run also awaits and for the bigger skiers a couple of jump elements. Right next to the button lift Zillstatt you can also tackle the somewhat more difficult button lift Gatterl. But for this you do need some practice for the lift ride.

In Pletzibär-Park right by the valley station of the Bergbahn Pillersee, there is plenty waiting to be discovered by little schussboomers. A large nursery slope with magic carpets, snow carousel, children’s playground and the Pletzibär-train - great fun for the whole family! And while the little ones let off steam on the nursery slope, the adults can kick back on the sun terrace, with the grounds always in view.

Right in the centre of Waidring, the local mountain offers a T-bar lift as well as a small baby lift for our holiday guests. Those for whom this practice slope is not enough can run riot on the Steinplatte in the Funline: a mogul training run, banked curves, giant snow-snail with tunnel, children’s slalom as well as motley snow elements are waiting to be conquered by the little schussboomers.
