The ski area Buchensteinwand in the heart of PillerseeTal is a true insider’s tip for indulgence skiers and families. With its 22 km of pistes, the ski area is optimally suited for first-time skiers and those taking up the sport again. The sunny slopes facing Hochfilzen further beckon to put in a snack stop on the sun terrace. Ambitious skiers can also try out the practice cause by skier Romed Baumann there. For the little schussboomers, the Pletzibärpark beckons at the valley station of the cable cars in St. Ulrich am Pillersee. There they can playfully take their first swings in the snow and make new friends. For ski tourers, the cable car has designated dedicated ascent routes of various difficulty levels. And everyone can enjoy one thing together: the wonderful views of the surrounding alpine world. And speaking of views: The walk-in Jakobskreuz on Buchensteinwand is open also in winter!

From three days the ski passes are valid in the entire skiing region "3 Länder Freizeit-Arena" with more than 61 lifts and 160 km of pistes. Beginners, those taking up the sport again and experts will find optimal piste conditions in the skiing region. The "3 Länder Freizeit-Arena" ski pass is valid in the following ski areas: Waidring Steinplatte, Die Buchensteinwand - Bergbahn Pillersee, Skistar St. Johann in Tirol, Erpfendorf - Lärchenhof, Skilifts Kirchdorf, Reit im Winkl - Winklmoos, Almenwelt Lofer and Heutal Lifts Unken.
