Witches´ meeting with St. Nicholas

The pre-Christmas season in Tyrol traditionally begins with the Perchten runs.
Bells, goosebumps, and scary masks (called larva) drive away the bad spirits from the respective community.
It's a bit different everywhere. So let yourself be surprised at how it is here with us in Itter.
The first run starts at 4:00 PM, around 5:00 PM St. Nicholas comes and brings the children a small gift.
