The summer solstice has a long tradition in the Hohe Salve region and is a true spectacle. The mountain peaks are aflame when the longest day meets the shortest night. On June 20th fires are lit on the mountain tops. These fires are meant to amplify the power of the sun and keep evil away from humans and animals. Experience unique tradition at the summit of Hohe Salve. The fires in the evening mountain atmosphere will inspire you!
From the mountain peaks, the sight is overwhelming and reveals another facet of the impressive mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol.
TIP: The summit restaurant on Hohe Salve is open continuously! However, reservations are not possible this evening - hot food will be available again from 6:30 p.m.
Evening operation of the Hopfgarten cable cars from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Rates for the mountain railway for a round trip:

Children (2011-2021) | € 13.50
Persons with a season ticket and valid hiking passes pay half.
