The solstice has a long tradition in the Hohe Salve region and is a true spectacle. The mountain peaks are set ablaze as the longest day meets the shortest night. On June 20, fires are lit on the mountain tops. These fires are meant to strengthen the power of the sun and ward off evil from humans and animals. TIP: The summit restaurant on Hohe Salve is open all day! A reservation is beneficial - warm meals available again from 6:30 PM.
Evening operation of the Hopfgarten gondolas from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
