Cinema on a Summer Night

The Summer Cinema Festival of Music Culture St. Johann presents eight opulent evenings: Cinematic delicacies combined with live music and fine cuisine make the Lunaplexx evenings a sensual total experience.

The popular cinema festival invites you on the eight performance days starting at 7.30 p.m. initially to the garden of the Old Tannery. There, culinary offerings can be enjoyed with daily changing live music, toasting with a drink to a cozy movie night in the summer. In bad weather, the supporting program with various bands starts indoors. All films will then be shown weatherproof starting at 9.00 p.m. in the hall (free seating!). Thus, the Cinema on a Summer Night indulges its guests all around:

cinematic – musical – culinary!

Therapy for Vikings at 9.00 p.m.

After 15 years due to bank robbery, Anker is released from prison. The loot was buried by his brother Manfred back then, who has suffered from an identity disorder since childhood. That he had to wait so long for his brother has not served Manfred well. He has further developed his psychological disorder and dedicated himself entirely to music. Logically, Manfred can no longer remember the money or where he buried it. Anker brings his brother back to their joint parental home, which is now rented out by a boxer via Airbnb, hoping this might trigger the memory of his former self. Anker has no time to lose. Because his accomplice from back then, Friendly Flemming, is hot on their trail and claims the loot for himself. But in the dark green forests of Denmark, not only a pile of money awaits him, but also the deep pain of a wounded child’s soul.

The latest work from the comedy dream team from Denmark: THERAPY FOR VIKINGS throws out punchlines at lightning speed, is delightfully unpredictable and wickedly funny. Director Anders Thomas Jensen (Adam's Apples, The Heroes of Probability) achieves a profound crime comedy about confused identities and two brothers who love each other.
