Cinema on a Summer Night
The Summer Film Festival of Music Culture St. Johann awaits with eight opulent evenings: Cinematic delicacies combined with live music and fine culinary offerings make the Lunaplexx evenings a sensual total experience.The popular film festival invites you on the eight performance days starting at 7.30 p.m. initially to the garden of the Old Tannery. There, guests can enjoy the culinary offerings with daily changing live music and toast to a cozy cinema visit on a summer night with a drink. In case of bad weather, the supporting program with various bands will start indoors. All films will then be shown weatherproof at 9.00 p.m. in the hall (free seating!). Calle Malaga - a Home in Tangier at 9.00 p.m.María Ángeles, 79, is deeply rooted in the Spanish quarter of Tangier. Her apartment on Calle Málaga – full of memories, flowers, and antique treasures – is her pride and joy. From her balcony, she observes the colorful hustle and bustle of the city – calm, content, in her own world. But when her daughter Clara wants to sell the apartment, everything is thrown into disarray. Instead of moving to a retirement home, María Ángeles refuses to comply. With wit, cunning, and heart, she fights for her home. Surprisingly, she finds new closeness, zest for life, and a love she believed she had long lost.
