Via Ferrata on Kitzbüheler Horn
Spend time together as a family climbing, swimming, and building dams in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. Only a few minutes' walk from the Gasthaus Griesner Alm, right next to a clear mountain stream, is our family climbing rock, where you can try climbing, rappelling, and belaying under the guidance of a mountain guide. In the meantime, you can playfully explore nature, whether it's building dams with small stones or walking barefoot in the riverbed. Spare clothes and a towel should be packed.
If the weather does not permit family climbing at the rock, the event can take place in the bouldering hall in St. Johann. The mountain guide will decide on this the evening before.
On Thursday mornings, families with children aged 6 and up can try out rock climbing. Without prior knowledge and under the guidance of an experienced mountain guide, both young and old can feel the rock beneath their fingers and enjoy the adventure.

Duration: approx. 5 hours
Equipment: Helmet*, climbing harness*, climbing shoes* (* rental equipment available. Costs € 20,- per person). Sports and change of clothes, swimwear, towel, small snack, and water bottle.
Self-retention: € 80 per family with St. Johann Card (€ 100 without guest card). - Not included: Travel to Griesner Alm (toll road € 6,-), rental equipment (if needed for a fee), meals.
Difficulty: At least 1 adult and 1 child (father, mother, grandma, grandpa...). Children from 6 years onwards.
This tour is conducted with just one family. Maximum 6 families per mountain guide.

Each registered participant will be contacted by the mountain guide by phone the evening before the tour. In order to always provide our guests with a unique mountain experience, we reserve the right to make minor changes to the program and adjust the start time and meeting point according to the conditions and weather. In case of really bad weather, we are happy to offer introductory courses in the climbing halls in Kitzbühel or St. Johann.
