Discover the world of milk production and cheese-making on a hike through the idyllic Kelchsau. Did you know that Hopfgarten and Kelchsau, with 7.9 million liters of milk per year, are the second-largest milk producers in Tyrol? During the hike, we will stop at the Erlebnisalm Niederkaser. Here, at 1 p.m., you can take part in an exciting tour to learn all about the art of cheese-making and taste the delicious products on-site.

Meeting place: Information office Hopfgarten, Brixentaler Str. 41, 6361 Hopfgarten
Registration: until 4 p.m. on the day before, online or in the tourist information offices of the Region Hohe Salve
Equipment: sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sufficient fluids and sun protection
Costs with Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: free (plus a guided cheese tour € 7.00)
Costs without Kitzbüheler Alpen guest card: € 20.00 per person (plus a guided cheese € 7.00)
Duration: approx. 6.5 hours
Participants: min. 2 

Note: The meeting point is not the same as the starting point of the tour. Self-arrival by car to the starting point. Alternatively, you can take the bus at 9.40 a.m. from Hopfgarten Berglift to Kelchsau Steinerbrücke.
